Norwich’s first History Festival – Rebels & Radicals – masterminded by Stuart Hobday, runs from Thursday, July 17 to Friday, July 25. There’s a great mixture of talks, walks, film and theatre. Check out the full programme at www.norwichhistoryfestival.co.uk.

The two-hour walking tour celebrates the diverse contribution of black people to the history of Norwich and Norfolk, from street traders in the 18th and 19th centuries, to Pablo Fanque, the UK’s first black circus impresario.
