DESCRIPTION:Jenny Lind\nJenny Lind and Norwich Tour\nA walk with Norwich tour guide\, Paul Dickson\, celebrating Jenny Lind ‘the Swedish nightingale’ and her Norwich legacy. \nThe tour includes the story of Jenny Lind\, the Swedish Nightingale’s concerts in Norwich in 1847 and 1849 and the foundation of the Jenny Lind Hospital; visits to the old Bishop’s Palace where Jenny Lind stayed (courtesy of Norwich School) and Norwich Cathedral to view the memorial window to Bishop Stanley\, who was Jenny Lind’s host. \nWe will also go to the Norfolk Heritage Centre at The Forum to view the original posters promoting the Jenny Lind concerts; finishing with a walk to Pottergate to see the site of the first Jenny Lind Hospital. \nTours starts at the Erpingham Gate of Norwich Cathedral in Tombland (across the road from the Maids Head Hotel) and will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. \nClick Here for more details on this tour \nBook this tour\nClick Here to book this tour. \nMore Dates\nThis tour is held several times during the year.
